Earl Kim, the new Po'okula (head of school) of Kamehameha Schools, visited KWON this past Friday to "learn about the amazing things" he's heard are happening at KWON every day. The students honored him with an 'oli, lei, and song. Mr. Kim and his staff talked with Principal Parker about KWON's incredible growth in the last 10 years, the stellar example KWON has set, and what KS can learn from KWON's journey. At the end of the day, Mr. Kim commented on the professionalism of the staff, the high quality of education offered at KWON, and the respectful attitude of the student body. Great job KWON 'Ohana!
The eighth graders visited the KWON library for a library tour and book scavenger hunt. They had fun learning about the Dewey Decimal System and call numbers!
