KWON Kindergarten students created Beginning, Middle and End bracelets using three beads (one for the beginning of a fiction story, one for the middle and one for the end). Students also practiced retelling the beginning, middle and end of stories after they were read aloud. This helps students' long term memory and their ability to recall what happened in a story by chunking the parts of a story. Eventually, this strategy will result in higher reading comprehension as students connect different parts of a story and are able to understand what happened sequentially and consequently. Great Job Kindergarten!
